(BBC Sport) West Brom boss Sam Allardyce says the Baggies need a "magic miracle and fairy dust" to stay in the Premier League after drawing the Black Country derby with Wolves. Allardyce's proud record of never being relegated now requires his side to win all four of their remaining games, beginning with a trip to Arsenal on Sunday, and hope for a complete collapse from one of the five teams outside the drop zone that they can still catch. That combination seems highly unlikely, even with the battling qualities West Brom showed during a game played in torrential rain to earn a point through Mbaye Diagne's header after Fabio Silva's fortunate first-half opener had put Wolves in front. Nuno Espirito Santo's depleted squad, who lost Wily Boly in the build-up to a positive coronavirus test, carried the greater threat for most of the contest, with Baggies keeper Sam Johnstone saving well from Nelson Semedo and Adama Traore either side of the interval. However, while Silva ran away in jubilant celebration after sending the ball over Johnstone and into the net in stoppage time, replays showed the young Portuguese knew nothing about it as Kyle Bartley's clearance cannoned off his standing foot. Diagne levelled when he powered home Conor Townsend's cross. Allardyce will talk to the board about whether to stay next season. (BBC Sport) West Ham forward Michail Antonio said they will not give up on their dream of securing Champions League football after he scored twice in a comeback victory over Burnley. The Hammers moved up to fifth place in the table, just three points behind Chelsea in fourth, with four games of the season remaining. Chris Wood scored from a penalty to give Burnley the lead before Antonio headed in Vladimir Coufal's teasing cross and poked in Said Benrahma's delivery eight minutes later. Antonio, who returned after four weeks out with a hamstring injury, said: "It would be unbelievable. Everybody wants to play in the Champions League. "I have been here a few years and there have been so many seasons we were fighting to stay in the league and now we have the opportunity for top four. We are not going to give up on it. We will keep fighting, keep pushing." West Ham boss David Moyes said: "We want to take it down to the final day and try to sneak in. It will probably need us to win all four games. Europe would be an incredible achievement. I think I'll be disappointed if we don't get there now."

(The Guardian) Full-time: Manchester United 1-2 Leicester CityPeep! peep! Peeeeeeep! It’s a massive win for Leicester City in their bid to qualify for next season’s Champions League and their triumph at Old Trafford means Manchester City are Premier League champions. A quick recap: Luke Thomas put Leicester City ahead after 10 minutes with his maiden Premier League goal ... and it was a beauty. The youngster was, however, partly culpable for United’s equaliser not long afterwards, allowing Mason Greenwood to dart past him en route to scoring into the bottom corner with a shot out of nothing. In the second half, Leicester were laying siege to United’s penalty area, if not their goal, when both managers brought on some of their big guns from the bench. Marcus Rashford’s first act was to lose his man at a corner, allowing Caglar Soyuncu to rise unmarked and power home the winner and secure three precious points for his side.
Meanwhile at the Etihad Stadium: Some men in high-viz jackets have just unfurled a giant “Manchester City - Champions!” banner over the front entrance.

(BBC Sport) Fulham were relegated from the Premier League after a defeat by Burnley that saw the Clarets secure their top-flight status for another season. For the first time in the Premier League era all the relegation places have been confirmed with three games to go, with the Cottagers joining Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion as the clubs to drop into the Championship. The damage was done before the break as Burnley struck twice in the final 10 minutes of the first half at Craven Cottage. First the Clarets hit their hosts on the counter-attack as Matej Vydra showed neat footwork before picking out Ashley Westwood to roll the ball into an empty net. Chris Wood then lashed in a second from the edge of the area to score his 50th goal for Burnley and consign Fulham to the drop. It leaves Scott Parker's side 10 points from safety with three games remaining and heading back to the Championship at the first time of asking. Burnley, who will play Premier League football for the sixth successive season, climb to 14th in the table. (BBC Sport) Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions for the third time in four seasons as Leicester City secured their first Old Trafford victory over Manchester United since 1998 to take a major step towards a place in next season's Champions League. Defeat for United means they are 10 points behind City with only three games remaining. Caglar Soyuncu's far-post header was enough to bring a smile to Brendan Rodgers' face and that of Pep Guardiola, whose dominance of the English game is increasing. A United side showing 10 changes to the team that won at Aston Villa two days previously battled hard, with Mason Greenwood levelling after fellow 19-year-old Luke Thomas had put the visitors in front with a fantastic far-post volley into the top corner. Ironically, Leicester's winner came from a corner that was delayed by the introduction of two United substitutes by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. One of them, Marcus Rashford, was initially marking Soyuncu at the corner but lost the Turkey international in the build-up and Nemanja Matic was unable to repel the goal threat. The result brought to an end United's 14-match unbeaten run in the league, since the home defeat by Sheffield United on 27 January. Rodgers' side now only require four points from their final two games to secure a top-four finish, although before that quest resumes, they will attempt to win the FA Cup for the first time in the club's history against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday.

(BBC Sport) Danny Ings scored twice as Southampton fought back to beat Crystal Palace in an entertaining Premier League affair. Ings, returning from a hamstring injury, steered a low effort into the bottom corner to level after Christian Benteke had driven in an early opener for the visitors. And the hosts, who were thankful for goalkeeper Fraser Forster's penalty save from Luka Milivojevic, had the better of a seesaw contest after the break. Che Adams put them ahead with a neat close-range finish from Stuart Armstrong's corner and Ings latched on to a pass from his strike partner to round off the scoring. Saints' first win in five games moves them up to 14th in the table, with Palace in 13th, a point above them.

(BBC Sport) Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says he takes full responsibility for his side's home defeat by Arsenal after making seven changes for the game. The Blues had claimed an impressive win at Manchester City on Saturday to delay the Premier League champions' title celebrations and boost their hopes of a top-four finish. However, with an FA Cup final against Leicester coming up on Saturday, only four players retained their places in Tuchel's side for Wednesday's visit of Arsenal. It was still a strong line-up but a mistake by Jorginho in the first half allowed Emile Smith Rowe to score what proved to be the winning goal for Arsenal and, although Chelsea dominated possession and hit the woodwork twice late on, they couldn't find an equaliser. Chelsea remain fourth on 64 points but the defeat will give their rivals hope of sneaking into the top four. They are six points ahead of West Ham, who have a game in hand, and seven ahead of Liverpool, who have two games in hand on the Blues. "I'm a bit angry that we had so many changes, that's on me," said Tuchel. "I'm not so happy in the end with the line-up, but I didn't know what would happen, I didn't feel us today like I normally do and we can't expect to win games if we're not 100% in games. I'm not happy with what I saw, I have my responsibility because I picked the line-up, but the performance was the performance." Jorginho's error will have been disappointing for Tuchel. The midfielder misjudged a pass back that was in danger of trickling over the line before Kepa Arrizabalaga managed to claw the ball away but only to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who teed up Smith Rowe to slot in. Christian Pulisic thought he had equalised on the hour but his strike was ruled out by the video assistant referee for offside, while Bernd Leno pushed Kurt Zouma's header onto the bar in injury time before Olivier Giroud's volley also bounced back off the woodwork. The victory also meant the Gunners completed the double over the Blues for the first time in 17 years to boost their own hopes of ensuring they are playing European football next season. Arsenal are eighth and just one point behind Tottenham in seventh, although have played a game more. -Read more: www.bbc.com/sport/football/56990160

(BBC Sport) Everton's hopes of finishing in the Premier League's European places suffered a blow as they played out a goalless draw at Aston Villa. In an uninspiring contest devoid of quality Tyrone Mings headed Villa's best chance wide from Douglas Luiz's cross. Subdued for long periods of the first half, Everton improved after the break, with Ben Godfrey drawing a save from home goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez from Gylfi Sigurdsson's free-kick. Andre Gomes wastefully lashed a left-footed effort over the bar as the visitors chased a winner but Martinez was rarely called upon, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin's late header his only other save of note. The result leaves Carlo Ancelotti's side eight points adrift of Chelsea in fourth, with West Ham, Liverpool and Tottenham all better placed to qualify for Europe. Villa, who welcomed captain Jack Grealish back from injury as a second-half substitute, remain 11th in the table. (BBC Sport) Jurgen Klopp celebrated his first win at Old Trafford as Liverpool came from behind to beat Manchester United and boost their chances of a Champions League place. In a thrilling game played against the backdrop of noisy protests against the United ownership outside the ground, United struck first through Bruno Fernandes' deflected opener. But Liverpool, who had seen one of their buses prevented from picking team members up before the game after being blocked in the street, hit back through Diogo Jota's instinctive effort. Roberto Firmino, who had only scored once since his two-goal haul at Crystal Palace in December, then put his side on top with a well-taken double either side of half-time. Marcus Rashford pulled one back for United midway through the second half but Mohamed Salah wrapped up the points with a late breakaway strike for his 21st Premier League goal of the season. That moved him level with Harry Kane in the Golden Boot standings and condemned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to a sixth home defeat of the season. The result takes Liverpool fifth in the Premier League. If they win at West Brom on Sunday they will close to within one and three points respectively of FA Cup finalists Chelsea and Leicester, who still have to play each other at Stamford Bridge on 18 May.

(BBC Sport) West Brom manager Sam Allardyce speaking to BT Sport: "I think it's a level they are going to be very good at. They have a great opportunity to show how good they are in this Championship. They will need to strengthen the squad but that's for somebody else." On who might replace him: "I've told the club what I think and it's up to them. I haven't spoken to them for the last two or three days as we've been concentrating on the game. I'm not too disappointed in the performance. Sadly you can't give away goals like we did today. "A good holiday is next for me that's for sure, after that I don't know. I'm glad I came back and I'm disappointed I haven't done what I've done previously. We stopped getting thrashed, then we started getting better but unfortunately not good enough." Spurs boss Ryan Mason to BBC Sport: "The second half was outstanding. [We showed] immense qualities - to play, to be brave, to be aggressive, to work for the team. There was an energy in here, you could feel there was a lot riding on the game. We used that to our advantage. We were calm in situations. We used the fact it was a big game for them, it was a big game for us." On finishing seventh and in the Europa Conference League: "It's no secret - we want to finish higher. We're disappointed not to be in teh Champions League. We have to respect any European competition we're in and we will. We'll have to come back stronger next season."
