(The Guardian) Tottenham Hotspur vs. Arsenal: Tottenham boss Antonio Conte said they have to check on one possible case of Covid-19 ahead of the north London derby on Sunday. The concern adds to a notable list of absences with Eric Dier and Son Heung-min definitely out injured for the home game against Arsenal, who are experiencing a player shortage of their own. “As you know very well, we have many, many injuries,” said Conte. “And then there is always the Covid situation every day, that you have to check. Sometimes you find a surprise. “But we are preparing the game against Arsenal. I think in this moment, all the teams are suffering injury problems, Covid situation, and international competition. And Tottenham the same. You know very well, you have seen the bench, our bench during the game against Chelsea. I can understand that we are in a moment where we have to try to recover very soon the players that are injured.”
Arsenal and the Premier League are in discussions regarding whether Sunday’s north London derby will go ahead, with Mikel Arteta’s side heavily affected by injuries, absentees at Afcon and Covid-19, reports Nick Ames.
